Abbreviated as IHBAS, Institute of Human Behaviour & Applied Sciences came into existence in the year 1993 according to the directions issued by the Supreme Court as a response towards a litigation of public interest. The institution is funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of India Government and the Government of NCT of New Delhi jointly.

Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences has invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Residents and Senior Demonstrator and the details regarding the notification issued by the institution in this regard is given below:

Name of the Vacancies: Junior Resident, Senior Demonstrator

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 47, which is divided among the various departments and each of the two positions as follows:

Junior Resident – 46 (divided as follows)

o Neurology – 20 (UR- 11, SC-03, OBC – 05, ST-01)

o Neurosurgery – 06 (OBC-01, UR-05)

o Psychiatry – 20 (UR-08, ST-02, OBC-07, SC-03)

Senior Demonstrator – 01 (for psychopharmacology)

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Junior Resident and Senior Demonstrator, will come under the following pay scales:

Junior Resident – Rs.15600-39100+Rs.5400 Grade Pay

Senior Demonstrator – RS.9300-34800

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Educational qualification requirement for each position is given below:

Junior Resident: Candidates must have completed their MBBS from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India. They should also have registered with Medical Council of Delhi.

Senior Resident: Candidates must have completed their Master of Science in appropriate discipline and they should also possess one year experience in related field.

Age: The upper age limit to apply for both positions is 33 years.

Application fee:

Application fee of Rs.250 for Junior Resident and Rs.150 for Senior Demonstrator position, should be paid by the candidates in the form of DD drawn in favor of the Director, IHBAS, Delhi. This fee amount is applicable for OBC and UR candidates only and candidates coming under PH/EXS/ST/SC need not pay any fee towards application.
