University of Kerala conducts MCA entrance exam for the selection of candidates for the post graduate degree in computer applications (Master of Computer Applications). The time required to complete the course is three years. The course involves study of development and use of software for different applications. The course is recognized by AICTE. Candidates who clear the test can join the University for the Course.

Structure and Pattern of the Kerala MCA entrance exam

Kerala MCA entrance exam will be objective in nature. There will be a total of 150 questions. Major part of the questions will be from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics covered during the under graduate course. In addition to this there will questions from topics like General English, General Knowledge, and Fundamentals of Computer awareness.

Qualification Criteria for Kerala MCA entrance exam

Candidates with a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University are eligible for the course. The candidates should have acquired an overall aggregate of 50% marks in the core subjects. It is necessary for the candidate to have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in plus two. Candidates who are appearing for the final year examination can also apply for the test.

Application Procedure for Kerala MCA entrance exam

Candidates can apply for the Kerala MCA entrance exam through both offline and online methods. In online application method, inhabitants of Kerala can submit the exam fee directly through challan in any of the SBT branches. Candidates who are not residing in Kerala can pay the exam fee by taking a demand draft of the required amount from any of the nationalized banks in favor of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram. The candidates can apply online with the challan/ demand draft number. Candidates who are applying through offline method can collect the application form directly from the head office of Kerala University by paying the application fee.
