Krishna Menon Memorial Government Women’s College is a government aided college and it was given its name to honor the well-known child of India Mr. Krishna Menon. V.K. The college is coming under the jurisdiction of Kannur University and it was established with the objective of offering progressive education to young women.

Every year, the college admits 30 students each for B.A. English and Malayalam, 40 students each for history and economics, 24 students for each B. Sc course and 15 for M.A in English.
