The university was previously called as Jaypee Institute of Information Technology and later it got the status of university and it has campuses at Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as well in addition to Himachal Pradesh. JUIT has Bpharmacy and Mpaharmacy and PhD in medicinal Chemistry, Natural Product chemistry, Pharmacology. Thy have faculty educated in premeir institutes like Punjab university, IIT, Delhi university. Many faculty member have postdoctoral, industrial experience. Faculty wise juit is better than any university.
