Exam Pattern of the Meteorology Exam

The exam paper will comprise of 90 objective questions. 4 options will be given to students and they will have to choose the correct answer from the given options. The time allotted for students to finish writing the exam is 1 hour.

The exam paper is classified into 3 parts. They are:

  • Part A – Forty questions that carry 1 mark each shall be asked.
  • Part B – Thirty questions with 1 mark each shall be asked
  • Part C – Twenty questions with one mark each shall be asked.

Students who are appearing for this examination must be careful when they choose the answers as negative marking is there. One fourth marked is reduced for each wrong answer.

How to Procure Application for the Meteorology Course?

Admission forms for the meteorology entrance exam is available from the exam counters of the institutions that carry out this examination. The official websites of these institutions also provide students with the opportunity to take the print of the form. An alternative method available for candidates is to receive their admission forms by post. To get the form by this means, it is needed for students to mail a requisition letter to the concerned address alongside a DD of the amount necessary. The price of the admission form will differ from one institution to the other. The price of the exam form at the Cochin University of Science And Technology is Rs. 850/- for students of the general category and Rs. 375/- for students of the other categories.
