List of Staff Selection Commission Entrance Exams
The Staff Selection Commission was set up for carrying out examinations for the recruitment of candidates into the lower classes of posts in the variety of departments of the Indian government. As mentioned above, the entrance exams are carried out every year for taking in fresh candidates. Provided below is a list of entrance exams that are carried out by the Staff Selection Commission.
List of Staff Selection Commission Entrance Exams
- Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board DSSSB – This exam is carried out for the recruitment of candidates into the different departments in the Directorate of Education.
- Special Class Railway Apprentices SCRA Examination - This exam is carried out for the recruitment of candidates into the Mechanical Department of the Indian Railways. They will be taken on as Special Class Railway Apprentices.
- SSC Central Police Organizations CPO Exam – This exam is carried out to recruit candidates into the Central Police Organizations.
- SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into posts like Inspectors, Auditors and Tax Assistant & Assistant Enforcement Officers etc.
- SSC Combined Matric Level Examination – This exam is carried out for the recruitment of candidates into the positions of Data Entry Operators as well as Lower Division Clerks.
- SSC Data Entry Operator DEO Exam – This examination is carried out for the admission of students into the posts of Data Entry Operator.
- SSC Junior Engineers Examination – This exam is held for the recruitment of candidates into the posts of Junior Engineers in MES and CPWD etc.
- SSC Junior Translator CSOLS Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into the posts of Junior Hindi Translators and Junior Translators in the department that are beneath the Department of Official Language in the country.
- SSC Tax Assistant Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into the positions of Tax Assistant Non - Gazetted Group C Ministerial Post in CBDT and CBEC.
- Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Section Officer Audit Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into the positions of Section Officer (Audit). It is a Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted Post.
- Staff Selection Commission SSC Section Officer Commercial Audit Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into the designation of Section Officer (Commercial Audit) in the office of Controller & Auditor General. It is a Group ‘B’ Non Gazetted post.
- Statistical Investigator Examination – This exam is carried out for the appointment of candidates into the designation of Assistant Statistical Investigator and Statistical Inspector. This exam is held by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
Application Procedure for the Staff Selection Commission Entrance Exams
The application form for these exams will be available in the price range of Rs. 50/- to Rs. 200/-. The notifications for these exams will come out in all leading newspapers two months prior to the exam. The application can be purchased from the post office across the nation or it can be downloaded by the aspirants from the official website of the SSC - http://india.gov.in. Aspirants can also get the form by post. Another option for the students is to fill the form online itself. The filled up form ought to be dispatched along with all the proper documents to the concerned address at the earliest.
