List of Teachers Educational Entrance Exams
There are many entrance exams which are conducted all over India for teachers in many different subjects. The details are given below
List of Entrance Exam
B.Ed- Candidates who have finished their Master’s with a minimum of 55% marks can appear for this exam. The age limit of candidates is 28 years. A relaxation of 5 years is available for the backward category & Women.
M.Ed- Those who are appearing for this examination must have cleared their Bachelors from any accepted University. The score that is required for the admission of candidates into this course will vary in each university.
National Eligibility Test (NET) – Candidates need an M.Sc or its equal degree with a minimum of 55% marks for applicants of the general and OBC categories and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
State Eligibility Test (SET) - For appearing in this exam, the applicants require a Masters Degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50% marks. They should also have a B.Ed. Degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Career prospects
Teaching is one of the most respected and most honored jobs in the world. The rough estimate by the Bureau of Labor Statistics is that there are around 1.5 million teachers all around the world. As many schools and colleges emerge almost every where, teachers are hired almost daily. It is likely that by 2016, there will be around 1, 47,000 teachers worldwide. The salary of teachers working in Government schools may vary from that of teachers working in private or residential schools. The initial pay package will be around Rs. 10, 000/- to Rs. 15,000/- each month. As the experience and skill of the teachers increase, the remuneration too gets raised.
