MBBS education in the city has great value and this can be understood from the fact that the city has a deemed university specially meant for offering education in the field of medicine and the name of this deemed medical university is Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, the university has six colleges under its jurisdiction for conferring degrees in six different faculties of medicine and its allied disciplines.
Intake capacity of MBBS in Nagpur:
In addition to the medical university, there are three other medical colleges in Nagpur and all these three colleges are affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. Two of the medical colleges are working under the control of Government of Maharashtra and one is functioning under private ownership. Two government colleges are approved with an intake capacity of 200 students each for MBBS course, while the private college is approved with 150 students as intake capacity.

My son will appear 12th final from CBSE. I want to get him admitted to low budgeted medical college in Maharashtra for MBBS as I am a retired defence person with meagre monthly pension of Rs 12000.00. Since my son has aptitude and may score between 70 & 80 percent in CBSE 12th final it is my sincere wish to let him pursue his suit.
