B.A.M.S graduates can seek admission to M.D. / M.S ( Ayurveda) in Gujarat Ayurved University by qualifying an entrance examination. The entrance exam conducted by the University comprises of objective type questions only. Selected students must pay Registration Fee, Enrolment Fee, etc at the time of admission. During the course examination fee, tuition fee, etc needs to be paid by the student.

Eligibility Criteria for M.D. / M.S (Ayurveda) in Gujarat Ayurved University

Aspirants having completed Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) are eligible for admission to the course. The qualification must be obtained from Gujarat Ayurved University or any other institution recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine. Eligible candidate must have finished 6-12 months internship program after completing the course.

Out of the total of 54 seats available, 50% of the seats are reserved for students of Gujarat state. The later 50% is meant for candidates outside the state (Indian nationals) and for SC/ST groups.

Admission Procedure for M.D. / M.S (Ayurveda) in Gujarat Ayurved University

Selection procedure is based on candidate’s performance in the entrance test conducted. The entrance test comprises of multiple choice questions which must be completed within 1 hour & 15 minutes. Total marks allotted for the test is 100. Candidate must score minimum 50% marks to qualify the entrance test. Syllabus for the written examination is based on the topics covered under qualifying degree.
Admission will be done strictly on the basis of entrance test marks. If more than one candidate must have scored equal marks in entrance test, then selection process will be optimized to qualifying examination marks. Those who obtained higher marks in B.A.M.S (or equivalent) will be considered.

• Medical Examination fee: Rs. 50.00/-(for fresh student)
• Student’s Union fee: Rs. 300.00/- per year

Apart from the fees mentioned above hostel residents are required to pay extra fee charges.

• Hostel Electric charges: Rs. 300.00/- per month
• Hostel Maintenance charges: Rs. 300.00/- per month
