Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech (Knowledge Engineering) in SRM University

Graduation in Engineering/Technology from any of the recognized Universities is the basic qualification required. This qualification must be obtained in any of the following subjects.

• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Electronics and Instrumentation
• Instrumentation and Control Engineering

MCA holders as well as M.Sc graduates in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, and Software Engineering are also eligible to apply. Any of the above mentioned qualifications must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks.

Admission Process for M.Tech (Knowledge Engineering) in SRM University

Admission to the course is done on the basis of entrance exams like TANCET and GATE. Those with out a valid score in any of this entrance test must attend and qualify the entrance test conducted by SRM University (SRMEEE). SRMEEE comprises a total of 12 sections in the entrance test booklet. Candidate should select one appropriate section to answer. A total of 100 questions are there for the entrance test, each carrying three marks.

The list of candidates is prepared on the priority basis of entrance test marks. Such candidates are asked to attend the interview conducted at the institute before joining. They should submit the original marks certificates (of qualifying exam), entrance test score card, etc before joining the institute. Tuition fee for pursuing the course amounts to Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
