Chemical engineering is one of the core branches of the engineering courses. It is one of the prime divisions of engineering studies and forms a major trade of technological education.

Paper description:

Process calculation is an important paper of chemical engineering. There are various processes that are studied under the subject of chemical engineering, and all the processes have some observation and based on those observations, few calculations are made in order to determine some important value. This calculation of the observations of the processes is said to be very important as the objective of the process depends on the calculation part. Thus, process calculation is a subject that deals with the study of various kinds calculation methods for various types of processes.

Frequently asked questions:

The questions that are generally asked in the paper repeatedly involve the methods of calculations of Reynolds number by water tank calculation. The calculation of the various kinds of other processes is also asked frequently in this paper.

Paper pattern:

The question paper of 3rd semester Chemical engineering in MUMBAI University is similar to the paper patterns of other subjects of chemical engineering in the university. The paper has all together 7 questions in it, and candidates have to answer any 5. The choice of these 5 questions is on the students, but they will have to answer question umber 1 compulsorily. This means question number 1 is compulsory, and from the remaining 6 questions, one will have to answer any 4. Every question is of 20 marks each, and is divided into sub questions for ease of answering.

Marks allotted and Time granted:

The maximum marks that can be earned in the paper is 100 and the paper is to be answered in 3 hours only.
