NUIM is a renowned management institute. It offers a two year full time residential MBA Program. Trimester system is followed in the program offered by the University. There are some compulsory foundation courses in the first year and in the second year there are some compulsory courses and some elective ones. There is also a summer project at the end of the first year. The program is recognized by AICTE. The selection process of the Institute is described below:

The selection procedure of the institute comprises of two steps:

The first stage of the selection process of the institute is a written test. Applicants are required to sit for the Common Admission Test conducted by the IIMs. This is used as a screening test by the Institute.

The second stage of the selection procedure is Group Discussion and Personal Interview. On the basis of the score in the written test applicants are shortlisted for GD and PI. GD and PI are held at Bangalore, Ahmedabad, New Delhi and Kolkata.

The final selection is based on the combined performance in GD, PI, the written test and also work experience.

Written test has the weightage of 70% while PI has 20% and GD 10%. Additional consideration is given to candidates having work experience.
