NPTI 2011 MBA
National Power Training Institute, Faridabad conducts an admission process for its two year MBA(Power management) Programme. NPTI was established by Ministry of Power, Government of India as an apex body for Human Resource development of Power Sector in India. Its headquarters is at Faridabad with regional institutes located in different cities of India. It offers MBA programme through Centre for Advanced Management and Power Studies which is located in Faridabad. NPTI’s MBA programme is affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak and is approved by AICTE. There are a total of 54 seats available for the programme for admission through CAT.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA programme of NPTI only on the basis of their CAT scores. Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in NPTI. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.
Eligibility criteria:
In order to apply for the course in NTPI, one will have to have a graduation degree in engineering and should have more than 60 % in aggregate in the examination paper. Candidates in their final year of engineering can also apply.
Availability of Application forms:
The forms will be available directly from NPTI, Faridabad. The form can also be obtained by post from the institute by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.npti.nic.in.

Last Date for Sale and Receipt of Application forms: 28 February, 2011
Group Discussion and Personal Interview: 3 & 4 April, 2011
Selection process:
Shortlisting of candidates are done on the basis of CAT percentiles. The candidates who are selected then have to appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview Session. Final Selection of the candidates depends on the scores in all the three rounds.

im going to apply in npti but i have a doubt as the CAT results are not yet declared what should i do as i cant fill my percentile on which basis wilyou shortlist for the GD/PI. or else first we need to fill the application and send to you and in later stage will you provide facility to update the application.

1st—-the cat score is still not out…..and there is a column in the form asking cat scores….what should i write in that..

I have heard that from this session i.e. 2010 MBA in POWER MANAGEMENT will be conducted at two NPTI’S i.e. at Faridabad(Haryana) as well as Nagpur,but in the website of NPTI only corse of NPTI Faridabad is shown.
I have downloaded the form from the website for NPTI, Faridabad,so along with the form what amount of DD should be send,I m a OBC candidate. From the prospectus it is not clear about the fees of DD a candidate have to send,in it it is given 1000 Rs,but whether it is the cost of prospectus & form or fees of DD a candidate have to send along with the admission form,pls help me out in my queries
