National Aerospace Laboratories was founded in the year 1959 under the Government of India. The laboratory was actually established by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Initially, the headquarter of the laboratory was located at Delhi but later on it shifted to the city of Bangalore. The laboratory is also conisdered to the second largest aerospace company of the country at present. One of the prime objective or function of National Aerospace Laboratories is to develop civilian aircraft (not for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force) in the country.
