Tamenglong District is one among the nine districts in the state of Manipur and it is located in the North eastern part of the nation. According to the survey conducted in the year 2011, it is the least populous district in the state of Manipur. The district is bounded by the state of Assam and Imphal West district of Manipur in the West, by the Churchandpur district of Manipur in the South, by Senapti District to the east and north and by the state of Nagaland in the north side.
