The company’s name was changed as Garden Reach Workshop in the year 1916 and it was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1913 with effect from the 26th of February 1934. It is one of the leading shipyards in the nation and premier yard in the eastern part of the nation.
The Chandtakanti Ramawati Devi Arya Mahila P.G. College came into existence in the year 1990 on the 1st of July and the college was established by the Chandrakanti Ramawati Devi Arya Mahila Sansthan. The institute aims at offering female education-languages, sahitya art, science & technology, etc…in various modes of approaches. The college is a self-financing institution located in the heart of the city of Gorakhpur at about three kilometers from the railway station of Gorakhpur. The college earned affiliation from the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University on the 23rd of February 1991.

Admission Procedure
The admission to these colleges will be on the basis of the rank of the candidate in any of the common engineering exams such as All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) / Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam (IIT JEE) / Delhi Combined Engineering Entrance Exam. The aspirants who have completed their 10+2 standard with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 45% can apply for these entrance exams. Some colleges will also conduct entrance exam separately based on which the candidates will be admitted.
