Profile:

National Human Rights Commission was founded as an autnomous statuary body on October 12, 1993. The commission was established under the provisions of The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. Some of the important functions performed by the commission is to review the safegaurds provided under the Constitution and also to study treaties and other international instruments on human rights. Honourable Justice, Shri K. G. Balakrishnan is the current chairman of the commission. One of the amjor function of the commission is to encourage the efforts of NGOs and institutions working in the field of human rights.

Job Profile:

National Human Rights Commission is filling up the non gazetted posts of Personal Assistant and Lower Division Clerk. Suitable candidates fullfilling all the eligibility criterias are invited to apply for the posts in National Human Rights Commission.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be in between 18 to 27 years of age for both the post of Personal Assistant and Lower Division Clerk. Relaxation in age is available for the Government servants and OBC candidates. Government servants can have age upto 35 years while OBC candidates have the relaxation of 3 years in age.

Educational Qualification:

12th passed or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates should be able to take down dictation in English/Hindi with the speed of atleast 100 words per minute for the post of Personal Assistant while candidates should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi for the post of Lower Divison Clerk.

No. of posts:

Personal Assistant: Only 2 posts are available.
Lower Division Clerk: Only 4 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Personal Assistant: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee:

Application Fee payable is Rs. 100 for general category candidates while women candidates and candidates belonging to the reserved categories are exempted from this fee. Candidate should pay this fee in the form of a Demand Draft only. The Demand Draft is to be drawn in favour of NHRC payable at New Delhi.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on direct recruitment basis. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of a written examination followed by a personal interview test with the selection committee. Only qualified canddiates of written test will be called for the interview test. And their good performance in this interview test will ensure their selection on the applied post.

How to apply: Candidates should apply in the prescribed format. The application form filled in by candidates must be sent in support of the other required certificates or documents to the prescribed address before the last date for the reciept of application. The last date for the application is 10 January 2011.
