Institute profile: This institute was established in the year 1974 for providing mental care and academic pursuit in the area of mental and neuro sciences. The main objectives are to make strategies for disaster management, to offer training in the field of neuro science and to provide better care and facilities.
Job profile: The professors will be responsible for imparting quality education to the students and give them a sufficient knowledge to gain the competitive edge. They will be required to train and guide the students to face the challenges ahead.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 50 years fro the post of professor, 45 years for the post of associate professor and 40 years for assistant professor.
Educational Qualifications: For professors – MD/M.Ch/PhD in the relevant field with a minimum experience of 12 years in teaching/research profession. For Associate professor – DM in neurology with a minimum of 4 years experience. For Assistant professor – A candidate must be a PhD/MD/M.Ch/DM/D.Sc/M.Sc in the relevant department and must have a minimum experience of 3 years.
No. of posts: There is a total of 20 posts that includes 3 (1-OBC & 2-UR) for professors, 1 (OBC) for associate professor and 16 (10-OBC, 4-ST, 1-SC and 1-PH).
Pay scale: For professors it is Rs18400-22400, for associate professors it is Rs14300-18300 and for assistant professors it is Rs11625-15200.
Selection procedure: The selection will be based on the performance of a candidate during the interview and the qualifications and experience of a candidate.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the format given on the website. The candidates are required to send a DD of Rs750 (Rs500 in case of SC/ST) drawn in the favor of Director, Nimhans payable at Bangalore. The applications must be accompanied with the copies of supporting documents.
