Sathyabama University conducts entrance exam every year for the admittance of eligible candidates to its B.E, B.Tech, B.Arch, and BDS courses. The candidates those who wish to get admission to these courses should clear the entrance exam.

Structure of Sathyabama University B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / BDS Entrance Examination

Sathyabama University Entrance Examination conducted for the B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / BDS admission will be of objective type multiple choice pattern. The candidates have to select the correct answer from the given four alternative options. The exam will comprise of a total of 180 questions.

Syllabus of Sathyabama University B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / BDS Entrance Examination

The questions for the examination will be from the following sections.

• Mathematics (60 questions)
• Physics (30 questions)
• Chemistry (30 questions)
• Biology (60 questions)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Entrance Examination, the candidates should have passed their higher secondary examination (10 + 2) from any of the recognized board. The applicants for B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch admission should have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects in HSC level and also must possess a minimum aggregate of 60% in these subjects. For BDS admission, Biology should be a compulsory subject apart from Physics and Chemistry in the HSC level. Those appearing for HSC Examination can also apply for the same.

How to Apply?

The candidates can buy the application form from major Post Office and Indian Bank Branches on payment of Rs. 550/-. One can also apply online through the official website www.sathyabamauniversity.ac.in. For online application, the fee payment can be done through net banking facility / credit cards / debit cards or by challan payment at any one of the Indian bank branches. For offline application, the completely filled application along with the requisite documents have to be sent to Registrar, Sathyabama University, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai 600119 before the due date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates have to fill the application form very carefully since a minute error may lead to the cancellation of their candidature. All the columns have to be filled giving the correct details. The name, father’s name, mother’s name and other necessary personal information in the application form should be exactly the same as cited in the Class X certificate. All the information regarding the filling up of form will be mentioned in the information brochure. The applicants are advised to go through it before filling. One also needs to note that the application form along with the information brochure reaches the concerned address on or before the last date.

Sathyabama University Entrance Examination is highly competitive and strict evaluation will be done for the purpose of screening out the eligible ones for admission. Hence only those who are well prepared can get through the exam. Hard work is the only formula for this. The aspirants have to start preparation at least 2 months before exam. For preparation, one should choose a calm and quiet atmosphere which aids the candidates to pertain concentration for a much longer time. One can take small breaks after completion of each topic. All the topics in the syllabus have to be thoroughly studied. Revise the topics 2 – 3 times. Also take care that the candidates give more emphasis to the repeated and important topics.
