Scientist/Engineer, ISRO Satellite Centre
Company Profile: ISRO came into existence in the year 1969. ISAC is one of the main R and D centres of ISRO. It has a main aim of promoting and developing technology and space applications for the progress of the country. The satellite centre is responsible for developing satellite and space technology.
Job profile: The scientists/engineer will be responsible for carrying out R&D work in the field of space and astrophysics. They will be responsible for providing assistance in various projects and working on applications useful in developing satellite technology. They will also be responsible for numerical analysis and computation.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.
Educational Qualifications: For scientist/engineer (physics/applied physics) – A candidate must have a first class M.Sc degree in physics/applied physics/space science/astrophysics/atmospheric science from a recognized university. For scientist/engineer (mathematics/applied mathematics) – A candidate must have a first class M.Sc degree in mathematics/applied mathematics/computation mathematics from a recognized university. The candidates must also possess a good knowledge of GPS system and a relevant experience.
No. of posts: There are 13 post for scientist/engineer (physics/astrophysics) and 11 posts for scientist/engineer (mathematics/applied mathematics).
Pay scale: The scientists/engineers will be given a pay scale Rs15600-39100 with a grade pay of Rs5400.
Selection procedure: The candidates will have to appear for an interview. They will be judged on the basis of their qualifications and performance during the interview.
How to apply: The candidates have to apply online only. They will get a registration number after applying which they have to keep with them for future references.
The last date for applying is 7th September 2009.

I’m pursuing B.Tech from Arya College of Engg. & Research Centre in Information Technology Branch. and now I’m in 3rd year.
I got 70% marks in 10th standard and 64% in 12th (with PCM) standard.
But I want to become a Scientist in Space Science or want to make a career in Space field.

Myself mukesh. I want to know about the age criteria for the isro scientist. I have got 56.25% marks in my graduation(Phy Hons). Now my age is 22years and 9 months.Second thing I want to know on the basis of marks I got in my graduation am I eligible for the Isro examination, if I makes 65% marks in MSc.I am staying in Gurgaon(Nearby Delhi) and till now I hve not been enrolled for Masters degree but will get enrolled in 2010-2012 session.
