SDM College of Engineering & Technology was founded in December 1979 and is affiliated to the University of Visvesvarya Technological. The college offers various technical courses to the candidates in order to provide opportunities to build career in well recognized companies of India. The college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The college is regulated and managed by the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Educational Society, Ujire.

Infrastructure:

The SDM College of Engineering is at a distance of 4 kilometers from Dharward Bus station and is 2 kms away from Dharwad railway station. The college provides all sorts of generalized facility to its students. The college also provides well equipped library, laboratories and well furnished classrooms to its students.

Courses Offered:

The college currently offers four years B.E degree in various streams like: Electrical &Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering and Information Technology. The SDM College of Engineering also offers postgraduate courses in: Digital Electronics (E & C), Engineering Analysis and Design (Mechanical), Computer Aided Design of Structures (Civil) and MBA.

Admission Procedure:

The candidates have to give the Common Entrance Test to get their desired course. 45% of the seats are filled through this exam. 35% of the seats are filled through COMEDK UGET Quota and remaining 20% of seats are kept for management quota.
