Shailesh Mehta school of Management is one of the parts of Indian institute of technology, Bombay which was established in 1995 with a motto to promote interdisciplinary learning and transforming professionals with technological field. The college was renamed in 2000 as Shailesh J Mehta School of Management in the honor of Dr. Shailesh J. Mehta who was a one of the alumnus of IIT Bombay. This management school offers various levels of programmes to the candidates.

The school is situated in Powai which is located 7 kms away from main Airport and 10 kms from domestic Airport. The school provides up-to-date library which consists of 337 audio visual materials, 514 Thesis and over 6638 books. The school also provides various generalized campus facilities to its students so that they can get more comfort in studying
