Abbreviated as APEPDCL, Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh is offering service from the city of Visakhapatnam and it came into existence in the year 2000 on the 31st of March with the objective of serving as the distribution company for Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh.

Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited has invited applications from eligible candidates for filling of vacancies (including backlog vacancies) on regular basis in the Engineering Service of the company and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect:

Name of the Vacancy: Sub Engineer/Electrical

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 20, which is divided among the different districts of the state of AP as follows:

Srikakulam (SKLM District) – 07

Vizianagar (VZM District) – 05

Rajahmundry (E.G. District) – 03

Eluru (W.G. District) - 04

Training-cum-Probation: Appointed candidates will be placed on training-cum-probation for a period of two years.

Pay Scale: Scale of pay will be Rs. 11545-485-13000-650-16250-800-20250-955-23115 for the position of Sub-Engineer/Electrical.

Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must be diploma holders in electrical engineering or degree holders in electrical engineering in addition to diploma in electrical engineering or any other equivalent qualification as recognized by the Government/Board of Andhra Pradesh/India/AICTE/DEC/UGC as the case may be. Only candidates with diploma and degree in electrical engineering and candidates with degree alone in EEE without diploma need not apply.

Selection Procedure:

Cost of application:

All applicants will have to pay a fee of Rs.150 towards application processing fee. In addition, candidates belonging to general category, will have to pay Rs.350 towards Examination and therefore fee amounts to Rs.500 for general category candidates and Rs.150 for reserved category candidates. Fee should be paid through AP online centres and shall get their fee paid receipt with 12 digit journal number. Fee should be paid before 28th of February 2012 up to 01.00 pm.
