Directorate General Border Security Force is a renowned security force which came into existence on December 1, 1965 under the Government of India. The force actually came under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs. The headquarters of the Border Security Force is located in the state of Delhi. Mr. Raman Srivastava is on the position of Director General in the Border Security Force. The fore has proved itself as an important component of the paramilitary forces of India. The force is determined to guard the international borders of the country during peacetime and also to prevent translational crime in the country.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for applying on the specified positions of Sub Inspector/Junior Engineer in the field of Electrical Engineering in Directorate General Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Only male indian citizens are required to apply for this specified post of Group ‘B’. The specified post is temporary but likely to become permanent. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the requirement.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age more than 18 years and also not more than 25 years of age as on the last date for the reciept of application. Candidates belonging to any of the reserved categories, will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the specified post in Directorate General Border Security Force.

Physical Standards:

Height: 165 cms with correlated weight.
Chest: Minimum 76 cm.

The height is relaxable by 5 cms for the candidates belonging to hill stations. Chest is also relaxable by 2 cms for candidates, who are having age less than 20 years.

Educational Qualification:

Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute recognized by Central/State Government is required for applying on the post of Sub Inspector/Junior Engineer (Electrical) in Directorate General Border Security Force. All candidates are required to possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the specified post.

General category candidates: 2 posts are available.
SC category candidates: 3 posts are available.
ST category candidates: 2 posts are available.
OBC category candidates: 6 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Application Fee:

Rs. 50 is the amount of examination or application fee which is required to be submitted by all the interested candidates. The application fee must be submitted through a bank draft. The bank draft must be drawn in favour of DDO HQ DGBSF, payable at Service Branch, New Delhi (Code-7687). Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, are not required to submit this examination fee.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of three stages:

i. Competitive Written Test
ii. Medical Test
iii. Personal Interview test

How to apply: Application form in the prescribed format is required to be sent on or before the last date for the reciept of application. The application must be accompanied with the attested copies of certificates, three recent passport size photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and two self addressed envelopes of size of 25*12cms stampted worth Rs. 27 each. The envelope containing all the above specified enclosures must be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR/JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) IN BSF ENGG SET UP AND NDRF BNs”.
