The admission process in Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research is conducted according to the admission procedure that has been explained in the prospectus issued for the same. For selecting the eligible candidates the institute organizes an entrance test every year. The admission of the Indian Nationals is made purely on the basis of merit.

The under graduate common entrance test is carried out for the following courses:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
  • Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthetics

Structure of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research Common Entrance Test

The duration of the entrance examination will be 120 minutes. The questions will be based on the 12th standard Science and Maths syllabus. The entrance examination has one paper which comprises of two parts.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission to any one of the specified courses. The birth date that has been entered in the Matriculation certificate will be considered as genuine. Students have to submit the original certificate at the admission to the course. Those candidates who fail to submit the original documents will be disqualified.

How to Apply?

The prospectus and the application form for the degree courses are available for purchase at the following centres:

The application form can be purchased by the candidates of the general category by paying a Bank draft of Rs.500/-. The SC/ST candidates need to pay only Rs.400/- for the same. The drafts have to be drawn in favour of the Director, SVNIRTAR and it should be payable at Cuttack. Candidates can also download the application forms from the website of SVNIRTAR.

How to fill the application form?

The completed application forms must be sent to the Chairman (CET-2011 & PGET-2011) Cum-Director, Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research, Olatpur PO: Bairoi, Dist: Cuttack, Orissa before the last date.
