Swami Vivekanand P.G. College of Education shortly called as S.V.N. College of Education began its educational journey in the year 2000 on the 3rd of October and the college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University.

Admission Procedure:

S.V.N. College of Education admits students to the different courses based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University and direct admission of students to the college is not possible.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to the above-mentioned UG courses offered by the college, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination. As far as B. Ed course is concerned, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream with not less than 50% of marks. For M. Ed course, candidates must have completed their B. Ed in the respective subject in which they are seeking admission. The college offers M. Ed course in both distance and regular mode. For admission to the distance education mode of M. Ed course, candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in the profession of teaching.

College Library:

The library of Swami Vivekanand P.G. College of Education is provided with reading room facility and the library is spread over an area of 1200 square feet with more than 34 international & national journals and 8000 books. The library is offering photocopier facility in such a way that students can take copies of the required reference material from the library.
