The paper of Relational database management system is the advanced form of DBMS and knowledge in this field is highly required in industries standard. The knowledge in Oracle which is an integral part of the course is very useful in computer language area. Different type of SQL is also taught in the paper.

Paper Pattern

The paper is of 14 questions in it and these questions are kept into 2 different groups for the ease of students. Section A is of 7 questions and 4 from it is needed to be solved, each of equal marks. Section B is of 7 questions and 4 from it is required to be solved, each of equal marks. Questions in Section B are divided into sub-questions.

Questions asked are such as Database Management System, Features, Advantages, Introduction to Oracle, Oracle Database Architecture,  Network System Tables, Logical Structures, Different User Interfaces-Relational Model, Oracle Database Fundamentals,  Basic Query, Unions and Multiple part Queries, Table Handling and Embedded SQL, Languages supported by Oracle Pre-compiler, Joining Multiple Tables in a Query etc.

How to tackle the exam pressure?

In exam hall, try to read and understand the questions before writing them. If any answer is not known than try to write at-least some points in answers, don’t leave the question blank. The questions may require a diagram, always draw them with pencil.

Marks allotted:

The paper is allotted with total of 75 marks in it.

Time allotted:

The paper is given a total of 3 hours.
