The second and third paper will be different depending on the chosen specialization area. The applicants have to qualify separately in each of the papers to clear the exam. The cut off % for first and second paper will be 40% marks and that of third paper will be 50%. There is relaxation in the minimum cut off marks to qualify in NET exam for reserved category applicants.

How to get into teaching jobs in Schools after M.Sc in Microbiology?

Aspirants who wish to get into teaching jobs in schools need to clear Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) which is administered by Central Government of India. They need to score 50% marks in the graduation to apply for CTET. They should hold a B.Ed degree also to apply for this test. The exam is carried out separately for primary and elementary levels of education. The test will be of objective type model. There will be 5 sections for both these tests and it will cover mainly the questions from the subject area as well as Child Development and Pedagogy. 60% marks is required to qualify in the test. Actually B.Sc in Microbiology is enough for a teaching job in school level. But M.Sc in Microbiology will be an extra qualification. Such candidates may get higher remuneration.

Aspirants can also find teaching jobs in various coaching centers. There will be notifications in newspapers when any vacancy arises in these coaching centers. Remuneration offered for teaching jobs after M.Sc in Microbiology

Aspirants can expect salary packages of around Rs.12000/- per month in reputed schools. In colleges they can expect remuneration of around Rs.25000/- per month. The salary packages in coaching centers will be different depending on the reputation of the organisation. However they can expect remuneration in the range of Rs.5000/- to Rs.12000/- per month in these centers.
