The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, CS Foundation Basic Economics & Business Environment Papers
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India offers the course of Company Secretary. One of the papers, during the Foundation program of the course is Basic economics & business environment. The paper has a maximum of one hundred marks and duration of three hours.
The question paper is divided into parts, namely Part A and Part B. Part A has a maximum of seventy marks. There are about five questions in this part, and the first question is of compulsory attempt. Candidates have to attempt any three of the remaining four questions. The first question carries a maximum of twenty one marks. The remaining questions have different marks distribution, but in such that they add up to forty nine in all.
The first question of Part A has two sub-question. The first is further divided into five smaller question, of each three marks and the second sub-question is further divided into two sub-questions, each of three marks. The Part B has three main questions, each of fifteen marks and candidates have to attempt any two. There are both Long answers as well as short answer questions in the papers.
