Format

The format of this paper is similar to other Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University Papers. The paper holds 100 marks and has two types of questions, Essay type and Short Notes. In Essay type there are 3 questions all of which has been given a weightage of 20 marks. In Short note type there are 8 short notes and all of them have a weightage of 5 marks.

Paper pattern

The paper covers chapters like General Methods of Processing of Herbs, Methods of Preparation of Extracts, Standardization of Herbal Raw materials and Extracts, Isolation and Estimation of Phytoconstituents, Herbal Formulation Development and many others.

Marking

Marks are according to the part attempted of the four questions because each question is compulsory and carries equal marks (25) and adds upto 100. Internal choice isn’t offered either.

Time

The paper has to be completed by 3 hours.
