Lala Ram Sarup Tuberculosis (LRS TB) Hospital was established in 1952 by the TB Association of India. The hospital became an autonomous Institute in the year 1991. The Institute was renamed as Lala Ram Sarup Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (LRSITBRD) when it came under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
