Age Limit:21-30 yrs (3 yrs relaxation for OBC & 5 years for SCs/STs. And about the coaching Institutes. Re: Can I appear for IPS exam after completing B.A(Economics Honors)? Dear friend, since you have completed your B.A. you are eligible to appear in the IPS exam. The exam for IPS is conducted by UPSC. There is no other exam for it different from IAS. It has the same exam as for IAS and the same selection procedure. The only thing differs by the result of IAS exam is the post you get which sometimes due to your low rank or your choice. To join IPS you need to give exam for IAS for which you need to be a graduate at least holding a degree in any field from some recognized institute or university. This exam consists of three parts: 1. Preliminary exam 2. Mains exam 3. Interview You are eligible only if your age is in between 21-30 years if you are in general or OBC category. If you are in SC/ST category then you are eligible to give exam till the age of 35 years. General category have attempts limited to 4, OBC has 7 attempts while SC/ST have no limits on the attempts available. |

For applying that exam you must have completed your graduation in a recognized university and your age must be between 21 and 30 yrs. As you have completed your degree you must have satisfied both the eligibility and so you can appear for IPS exam. |

Hello Dear yes, sure you can appear for IPS exam after completing B.A(Economics Honors). every graduate holders are eligiable for this exam. the qualifications requirement to sit for IPS exam is given below 1.minimum qualification graduation in any subject, with 55% marks in graduation. so you can appear in the UPSC-IPS exam. all the best......... |

But you have to fulfill some other criteria like: Age limit: Should have crossed 21 years. But should not have crossed 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Physical Standard: Height Male 165 cm Eye sight 6/6 or 6/9 Blood pressure (High) Age 23 123, age 24 124, age 25 122, age 28 124, age 30 125, age 32 126, age 34 127. Others: Good listening & normal ear cavity. Candidate should not stammer while speaking. If you fulfill it, then take a look at the admission procedure: You can apply both online and offline. He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam every year. The Civil Services Exam holds the key for entry into a number of prestigious jobs in the country including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). IAS, IFS, and IPS are the top three services of Group A, Central Services. The other Group A services include Indian Customs and Central Excise Service, Indian Revenue Service, and Indian Postal Service. Civil Services Exam consists of preliminary exam (prelims), main exam (mains), and interview. The prelims are usually held in May /June. Mains are held in October/November. The exam is notified in December. Application forms can be obtained from designated post offices around the country and the exams are held in major cities. All The Best! |
