Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission came into existence in the year 2007. State Government of Bihar intiated the step for constituting a commission for the bringing the scheduled caste and schelduled tribes communities in the mainstream of society. The major objective behind the establishment of the commission was to identify the castes withing the Scheduled Castes who lagged behind in the development process.
