there is a very minor difference between both of them.in both fields computer related subjects are present and similar subject available here.
but i suggest u to do b.sc(computer application) because there is no job for BCAu have to do MCA after BCA.
u can get job after BSC.(COMPUTER APPLICATION).

all the best

BCA means Bachelor of Computer Application. B. Sc. means Bachelor of Science. Generally after doing BCA, you will have to do MCA and after BSc you will have to do MSc.

Both BCA and BSc (Computer Science) have almost same syllabus. Both courses are of 3 years duration.
But according to me, BCA is better than BSc because MCA will give you a better chance of getting into IT companies.

There is nothing but have a small differentbetween BCA and BSc(Computer Science) .
In both the courses consists C++.
After graduation in master degree BCA will go MCA and B.Sc will go to MSc.

In this case MCA is more valued in the industry.

So,it will be easier to secure admission for the MCA course if you go to BCA.

Thanks!

friend the 2 courses are almost the same i.e bca and bsc-it. the only difference is that in bca courses a bit of hardware knowledge is also provided in conjunction with softwares but in bsc-it u will be taught mostly the software parts of computers.but both courses have equal job opportunities.also for c++ u can further ur knowledge using both bca or bcs-it.

Difference between BCA and BSc(Computer Science)? Which has more and what is the syllabus?

There is very little difference between these two courses as both of these will provide you Bachelor's Degree and both are related to computers. But i will suggest you to go for B.Sc(IT/computer science) because chances of getting job after bachelor's degree is little bit easy in this field as compared to BCA(Bachelor in Computer Application) .If you will go for BCA then for getting a good job with good salary ,you will need to complete M.C.A(Master in Computer Education) but there is no any such things in B.Sc(IT)

Since you are doing c++ now which is basic computer programming language and both these two fields are related to computer and programmings ,you can choose any one between these two.
I had already provided my views and now it's on you to choose between these two.Just choose the subject in which you are interested.

Re: Difference between BCA and BSc(Computer Science)? Which has more and what is the syllabus?

The level of difficulty of both the areas is more or less the same. Also C++ is taught in both the courses. Normally after these courses it is a must that the candidates should pursue masters course. Amongst MCA and MSc, MCA is more valued in the industry. It will be easier to secure admission for the MCA course if you pursue BCA. Normally institutes conduct entrance exam for admission to the MCA course.
