You can choose Sanskrit as an optional subject in UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination along with any other optional subject.

sanskrit is also in the list of the subjects,so you can take that.

yes, you can choose the sanskrit as a optional subjects in the ias mains exams.

sanskrit is also in the list of the subjects,so you can take that.

and for the preparation of the sanskrit you can study the book

any one language can be choosen as either English or Hindi in the Upsc exam (main) exam.But in the priliminary ,no option for any language.And you cant choose SANSKRIT in the priliminary or main.
