To crack any exam u need firm determination and patience.First beliue in mind that u can do it.See current syllabus and also see last five year papers and remove common questions from each topic most of them are 80 to 90% repetative type u can score maximum marks..Belive in urself..Vikrant sonawane,sinhagad college of engg. Academic Qualification :
The candidate must be graduate from any university.

Age Limit :
For General :21 to 30 years.
[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation]

No Of Attempts :
General : 4.
SC/ST: Unlimited.
OBC :7.

IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year in three stages (Prelims, Mains and Interview).
Announcement for prelims exam is usually announced in December every year.

You can apply only for prelims and if you succeed then only you can appear for mains and after that you will be called for an interview.

The essential ingredient of succeeding on a exam is the intense knowledge of the contents ant should know the structure of the exam and process.

IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year in three stages (Prelims, Mains and Interview).
Announcement for prelims exam is usually announced in December every year.

this exam is the one for of hardest exam in the india , whatever may be your stream is, you should know about your subject.

IAS(Indian Administrative Service) and the exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission)

* The age limit must be within 21 to 30 years and relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

The exam is of three types:

* Preliminary exam.
* Main exam.
* Interview.

* To prepare for IAS exam focus on the exam very much. You have great interest on the subject you have to study and that is your life. Refer books for the solved papers. Prepare well,work hard. This your future. Try till you achieve it. Hope for the best.

there some steps which if you follow then it will be simple for you to crack the exam
*you have to make a complete determination to crack the exam
*you make a good schedule for it
*for general knowledge you have to achieve a best knowledge
*for this you also prefer a coaching center
here i am going to give the IAS pre syllabus-
fully concentrate on these topics-

Preliminary Examination Syllabus 2011
Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks. The Question Papers (Test Booklets) are set in English & Hindi


Civil Services Aptitude Test
The new Recruitment Process of Civil Services Exam is called the CSAT or the Civil Services Aptitude Test. The CSAT is coming into effect from the Civil Services Examination, 2011. CSAT will not only enable us to choose civil servants with right aptitudes but also end the use of scaling system for varying subjects that has been a matter of concern for many. No changes are being introduced at this stage in the Civil Services (Main) Examination and Personality Test in the scheme of Civil Services Examination (CSE).

From Civil Service Examination 2011, Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. The syllabus and pattern of the Preliminary Examination would be as under :

(Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
General science.

(Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs

Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.
The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type.

You must start the preparation aleast before one and a half years before appearing for the exam. Lots of mock tests have to be taken.Be clear with the topic which you study. Extra knowledge is very much needed. Prepare everyday.

Dear friend,
IAS is one of the hardest exam in India.It have its pride,dignity.You have to work hard for this,first of all you have to take admission to any coaching center , best centers are at Dellhi.Study there with lots of concentration, do not waste any time, remember this is the most toughest exam.

IAS Examination was conducted by UPSC .

And To apply for This examination candidates Must Have completed His Graduation From a Recognised univercity, Final year student appearing candidates are also Eligible for IAS examination.

But to apply for This examination Your age should between 21 years to 30 Years.

The Notification was Published In the Employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC Official Website In the Month of October And April.

And Eligible Candidates are eligible to fill the application form Online.

Candidates Are also Eligible to Purchase the Application form Directly form the Post Offices In India.
