Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? Better try private jobs or UPSC ... pure government job is better... all PSU doing poor financial status due to the poor administrations from govt side. so try private or pure goverment. PSU born to die... never search a PSU jobs. at 2050 no PSU's will be alive in India. |

I think if someone want to go for VLSI or Embedded, M.Sc electronics is a better option but for circuit designing B.Tech students can perform better than M.Sc students. |

Dear Brother , You can read eligibility criteria of UGC CSIR Exam, they boldly highlights M.Sc for NET Exam even IES exam,BSNL, too conducted by UPSC set the eligibility criteria M.Sc to appear in Exam, and apart from that eduaction you can compare the Pune & DU syllabus with BE/B.Tech they are at par. Todays degree holder having Practical skill are showing in market....& in-plant training facility is also going in M.Sc too,its totally depends on how the student cope-up with syllabus.M.Sc can also appear in GATE & Further degree M.tech so please be honest while assessing any Course. God bless you. Ritesh Srivastava |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? Everyone is forgetting that who is doing M.Sc. Electronics, he/she must have completed one bachelor degree (B.Sc.) (3yrs) course in Electronics or in Physics hons with electronics specialization, not directly after 10th or 12th pass. Hence when you are comparing B.Tech with M.Sc. Electronics, you must compare B.Tech to (M.Sc. B.Sc.), then you come to know that which course have more weight from theoretical point of view. There is not much difference in lab. classes. Another imp. thing is that the quality of engineering students are diluting due to opening of a lot of private colleges throughout... but it is not in case of M.Sc.... |

I am also MSc Electronic, doing well in MNC, my boss and clients with whom, I have associated with are also happy with my talent and work. But, Still I feel incomplete, but AICTE has not registered MSc electonic as technical course, due to which I am facing difficulties in getting work Visa to some countries even client demand Graudate degree and not MSc, I know, if they come across me atleast in one meeting also, I can impress them. But to meet them u required technical degree. I am trying to get in touch with AICTE for this. Let see. |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? i would say, if you are good and electronics, it doesn't matter you do M.Sc Electronics\BE Electronics\B.Tech\Electronics\Even M.Tech electronics. there are lot of jobs in product development for M.Sc electronics too. I am M.Sc in electronics, i feel i am doing fairly good. please stop this non-sense comparison. a person who is good in electronics, he is good. hardwork is the key. I take lot of interviews, but unfortunately we get 5 out of 100 be\btech\electronics, who are average. our education system has become a factory, where lakhs of student coming out, but quality education very rare. However there are some institution worth going. best of luck |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? MSc. Electronics or BE/B-Tech . MSc electronics and BE, are two different concepts. BE/B-Tech is a professional course were the students are supposed to be groomed to be an engineer, who is expected to work on an ongoing technology in a particular industry. So in first two Sem they work on all branches, then study further on technology on the main branch. were as MSc Electronics/Physics graduate supposed to work as a research scholar in developing new technologies, and to be groomed as a scientist. so they have to do a graduation with advanced maths and physics. Then do a masters with thesis and gain research experience. (What happens in typical Indian college may be of different experience ), that's the way it is supposed to be.. If you are out of India, in Europe/US, if you want to think about assisting a research/doing PhD you need a 3 2 Masters, there Indian BE/B-Tech unfortunately don't help you. So Dear BE kids all the best for your jobs. Dear MSc kids, you need to keep going with studies, Think for PhD, and let engineers work for you. PS: I was an MSc applied electronics kid, who used to cry around, but I got an opportunity to study in Europe for my PhD, and now working as an asst Prof in Germany. most of the Indian students who pursing MSc is BEs and B-Techs here !!!!! So Pls think out of the box. all the best |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? All people have discussed and just they tried to match the Msc electronics subjects with BE Electronics. Why don't you consider that before getting MSc Electronics degree one has to qualify BSc degree and almost all the subjects are taught in these courses. so when MSc electronics is considered , keep in mind the Bsc Subjects also. Both have 4 year learning program and one year project after FSc. so Subject wise there is no difference. also I am MSc Electronics and working in Industry since 15 Years and I am given prefer due to my knowledge. I have experienced that MSc Degree holder response is very much better in field than the BE degree holder. |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? BTech or BSc MSc Syllabus is same in all our universities. BSc electronics is not considered as traditional degree courses. People from both stream can easily get in to industry. But most of the people in industry are BE/BTech graduates and most of the time they prefer people from same background. Still talented and skilled people have opportunities every where. |

I agree with you that both are different field and level of environment, question is will all engineer be or be-tech get good job as per there qualification, i my self done BS+Msc in Electronics, it will very hard to get job after MSC in electronics in privet sector techinical job but in some jobs of GOVT msc electr\onics is equivalent qualification to be pr be-tech like railway indian air force bhel , etc, msc electronics digree holder may face tough to get job in MNC ,but every thing depends on your knowledge and hard work, after facing very hard time , from last eight year i am working with top MNC of telecom and lot of engineers working in my team under me. so choice is your, if wann be engineer then get degree from REC or IIT other wise MSC and be degree are same , when fighting for JOB at last all msc electronics student /or degree holder contact me on my mail sandysaxena7@rediffnail.com , might my hard work can help you all to get right way for job. |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? Quote:
See as per my experience and also as per Aicte rule M.SC electronics is not at all considered equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. see basically B.E/B.Tech students have the knowledge of branches other than his core branch also.i.e. B.E/B.Tech electronics students have the knowledge of mechanical, electrical, computer(languages and all that), bit of civil engineering. so,B.E/B.tech is a broad course compare to M.Sc. So,they are not same. regards. |

Re: Is MSc Electronics considered equivalent to BE or B.Tech? hello mam yes according to my knowledge because in both the students will be able to design the circuits but b.tech students are bit costly compared to the M.sc students because the final approval of any design done by the M.Sc candidates will be done by a team leader who will definitely be a B.tech graduate so sometimes it don't at all matters to get a job if you're exceptionally well according to knowledge then you'll be rewarded more than a M.Sc candidate all the best ~aditya~ |
