Only 200 seats every year for IRS in which you can choose income tax or custom.... Starting salary is 54,000+ Custom inspector is selected by ssc get salary of around 34,000 But its very difficult to clear the exam... So best of luck... |

Assistant Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 8000-275-135,500 Deputy Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 10000-325-16,500 Joint Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 12,000-375-16,500 Additional Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 14,300-400-18,300 Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 18,400-500-22,400 Chief Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise – Rs 22,400-525-24,500 NOTE: There is almost 60% Pay hike after 6th Pay Commission, the above data is excluding that one. I dont have Exact Data after Including 6th Pay commission so I have provided that. However, at least you can predict the exact one. Into which 'Indian Revenue Service (IRS) - Customes & Central Excise' are known for custom officer post entry. PAY: Initially you will be recruited as junior officer as Pay band 3 which is 15600/- to 39100/- plus grade pay of 5400/- After that this grade pay will be increased to 6600/- INR. |
