I am interested to do PG course in TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION . May i know dates of Common Enerance test and procedure to apply for that???? Excepting favourable reply.... Thank you. |

Dear Friend NPTI conducts one year full time Post Graduate Diploma course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering for those who have passed B.E. (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics./Control & Instrumentation/ Power Engineering. For admission to PGD course, NPTI conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET). Eligibility Criteria Academics For Non-Sponsored candidate: B.E. passed or final year (No percentage restriction) For Sponsored candidates: 60% in B.E. Age Limit: For Non-Sponsored candidate: Upper age limit is 27 years. For Sponsored candidates: No upper age limit |

National Power Training Institute Organises an exam for the entry into the Operation and Maintenance in the Transmission and Distribution of power system program. The selection will be based on the merit in the qualifying examination. To be eligible for this exam you have to be a bachelor degree holder in engineering or technology mainly the ECE, EEE,or machenical field. You have to be a first class pass in 10th, 12th and b.tech or B.E i.e you have to secure atleast 60% marks in all three levels. Since you are a 3rd year student of b.tech so you are not sure about your percentage. That is why final year students cannot apply in this exam. You need to prepare for 1year for this exam and then apply. For further details you can visit the official website of NPTC or contact the head office in Nagpur, India. ::Good Luck:: |

Re: Eligibility criteria to get admission in NPTI after B.E course? After completing BE, students can seek admission in NPTI for the following: 2 Year MBA in Power Management through CAT score. The last date for receipt of applications is 28th Feb. One year PG Diploma course in Thermal Power Plant Engg at Nagpur, Neyveli, Badarpur, Durgapur, Nangal and Guwahati. The admission will be through a Common Entrance Test (not yet announced) and a central counselling. Upper age limit is 27 years. The course fee is about 1.60 lakh. Total no. of seats is about 340 and there is very good campus placement. 50 week PG Diploma Course in GIS and Remote Sensing. The intake is about 50 and there is very good placement. At present, only the fourth batch is going on. Admission is based on Merit and Interview. Course fee is about Rs. 1.50 lakh. Admission for 2012 is not yet announced. |
