Re: Qualification required for Bank Clerk exam? Names of the banks who qualification is based on 12th marks?

Dear Student,

To become Bank clerk is good for future. there are main to option to be a bank clerk:

1. Direct Entry after Graduation
2. Entry through various banking examinations after 10+2

Choice is yours. if you want to appear in to examinations you should complete your 10+2 with minimum 50% of marks from recognized educational board of respective state. Examinations are necessary to enter in to public sector bank.

In case of private sector bank you will get entry after graduation. You need to get minimum 60% marks in graduation from any stream from recognized university nationally.

Age criteria are very from bank to bank. for example SBI: 18 to 28 years and PNB: 18 to 25 years.

Eligibility to become clerk is also vary based on which category you belong to (i.e. Open, SEBC/OBC, ST/SC)

In India there are lots of banking follow these criteria to hire in clerk position. Some of banks are as follow:

State Bank of India

Punjab National Bank

Bank of Baroda

ICICI

IDBI

Union Bank of India

Dena Bank

HDFC

YES bank

etc...

Thank you

Re: Qualification required for Bank Clerk exam? Names of the banks who qualification is based on 12th marks?

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for Bank Clerical positions soon after completion of your 12th class.

The reason being, one should have completed Graduation as the minimum academic qualification in order to be eligible to apply for Clerical positions.

Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam.

The required age criteria will be as follows
20-28 years for General category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

In addition to that the candidate should be a citizen of India.

The candidate should have minimum computer knowledge and proficiency in local language.

The selection procedure would involve
Written Exam
Interview

Better to apply for IBPS Clerk Exam which is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in any of the public sector bank in India except for SBI and SBI Associate Banks.

So, try to opt for Graduation first in the stream in which you are interested and in addition to that carry out your preparation for IBPS Exam along with your academics.

For updated information on this exam, you can visit the official website of IBPS.

Here it is,

Eligiblity Of Bank Clerical Post Examination -
To apply for Bank Clerk Examination, must complete 10+2 In any discipline with minimum 60% Marks From a recognised university. But the eligibility criteria are vary from Bank to bank Because many other Banks you must have a graduate degree from a Recognized University and you have scored minimum 50% to 60% Marks in your graduation examination.age should between 18 to 28 years (for SBI).But For PNB bank your age should between 20 to 25 years.
So, After 12Th you are eligible to apply for Bank clerk examination, But Many other banks wants Graduation is the minimum qualification.
