Dear friend,

This exam is conducted by UPSC in onece time in year.

Those candiadte are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

The IAS selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Inter View.

hello,

IAS exam is conducted by union public service commission(upsc) for
which the eligibility criteria is;

- a candidate should be graduate from any recognized university

-age should be between 21-30 for general candidate....
there is a relaxation in age for OBC candidate(33 yrs) and for
SC/ST(35 yrs)

-number of attempts is limited for general candidate(4 times),
for OBC(7 times) and for SC/ST(no limits)

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.

If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC.

Application forms will come out in the month of January.

According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam

1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. If you are in final year you can also eligible to apply for the examination.

2.Age:The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

No.Of Attemptes:

General Candidates - 4 Attempts

OBC Candidates - 7 Attempts

SC/ST Candidates - No Limits.

The General Studies paper and one Optional paper both the papers are the compulsory paper.

this exam is conduced by UPSC every year. foe appear in this exam you should have to complete your graduation in any stream.
the age limit for apply for this exam are 21-30 years, also 5 years relaxation for SC\ST candidates.

there are 4 attempts for this exam is allowed for the general category candidates.
7 attempts for obc category candidates and there is no restriction on the number of attempts for sc/st category candidates.

to qualify for the ias exam you must complete following criteria.

1) you must be the graduated student from recognized Indian university.
2) your age must be between 21to 30 years . ( 21 to 33 in case of sc/ st category candidates)

these are the minimum requirements to appear in the ias exam.

while there are 4 attempts for this exam is allowed for the general category candidates.
7 attempts for obc category candidates and there is no restriction on the number of attempts for sc/st category candidates.

Qualification Required For IAS Exam

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam is conducted by UPSC in every
year. IAS officer job is the high level job of India.

these are the basic qualifications of the UPSC CSE exam

Yes definitely.

Th only qualification in education required for applying IAS exam is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university....

your age limit should be within 21 years and 30 years.

If you have not apply for IAS this year,then apply here online.

You can also apply offline by buying the application from the designated post offices in your city.

The last date to apply is 21st March, 2011 and the exam is on 12th June, 2011.

Any one Bachelor’s degree required for IAS exam.
if you want to take exam of IAS exam you should be eligible for IPS.
Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qualify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination.

Eligibility Criteria :

1.Age limit

21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate.


2. Number of Attempts
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

3. Restrictions on applying for the examination:
A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination.
