Re: Am I eligible for IPS exam if I have completed my B.Tech in Computer science with 58% and 85% in SSC and intermediate? If you have completed your B.tech, then you are eligible for the IPS exam. IPS means INDIAN POLICE SERVICE. It is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC in every year. ELIGIBILITY- The candidate must have a graduate or bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university. And also there is no required minimum percentage of marks, hence pass marks candidate also appear in this exam. Age limit- 21 to 30 years. 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. General candidate can give this exam maximum 4 times while for OBC, th no attemts are 7 timea and there is no limit for SC/ST candidates. For more info go to www.upsc.gov.in all the best

Re: Am I eligible for IPS exam if I have completed my B.Tech in Computer science with 58% and 85% in SSC and intermediate? hello, civil services exam for IPS is conducted by union public service commission(UPSC) every year for which the eligibility criteria is; qualification -a candidate should be graduate from any recognized university or a candidate as an appearing can also apply...... age -for general- 21-30 -for OBC- upper age limit is 33 -for SC/ST-upper age limit is 35 number of attempts -for general -4 attempts - for OBC-7 attempts -for SC/ST- no lomits physical standard -Height – Male- 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Female- 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm -Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. -Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness.
