There are many jobs for an ec student in gov as well as private sector you can take job in various psu by clearing gate exam because from this year they take on gate basis. and in private field you can take placement in companies like tcs wipro infosys mediatech etc. |

Since you are from ECE background first you will have to choice the sector,i mean in what sector you want to join : Private sector or govt sector Govt sector job for you : BHEL SAIL INDIAN RAILWAY NTPC BSNL JTO DRDO etc. Private sector job for you : TCS WIPRO IBM INFOSYS CTS ACCENTURE etc |

You can apply for core technical jobs as well as you can apply for software sectors.. The core technical jobs where you can apply are listed below:- 1.ISRO 2.DRDO 3.BARC 4.BHEL 5.BEL 6.SAIL 7.GAIL 8.NTPC 9.ONGC 10.Railways The software sectors where you can apply for a jobs are :- 1.TCS 2.CTS 3.INFOSYS 4.CAPE GIMINI 5.WIPRO 6.IBM So, don't worry, opportunities will come one after another , you just have to grab the opportunity.. The following are the fields where you can work after completion of the B.Tech in ECE. In goverment sector : >BSNL JTO EXAM >BANKS >INDIAN ARMY >INDIAN RAILWAY >NTPC >BHEL In Sofware sectors you can join in >TCS >INFOSIS >CTS >WIPRO >ACCENTURE >NOKIA >MICROSOFT So there is a lot of choice for you ahead . ECE degree candidates can join various multi-national campanies like IBM,WORLDZEN etc. You can also join government sector companies like SAIL,BHEL,RAIlWAY etc. ECE degree holder have a good career in defence engineering sector as in officer cadre. For jobs notifications you can join Shine.com website which will be helpful to you. You can also opt for PG for better experience and job opportunities. |

And Some of the entrance exams conducted by PSU's like:- NTPC, ISRO, DRDO, BEL, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, AAI, HAL..etc For details you may visit company's official website.You can even prefer top newspaper's like 'The Hindu' , 'Gazet India' and the weekly journal Employment News to get details about the core sector jobs.
