Re: Is this possible to appear for NDA Exam while pursuing 12th Science? hello friend Yes. A candidate who is pursuing 12th science can apply for NDA Exam. NDA Exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year. One can apply for NDA Exam for Army, Naval and Air Force wings. In order to be eligible for army wing, a mere pass in 12th is required. Even the candidates who are pursuing 12th are also eligible to apply for Army wing. For the rest of the two wings - Air Force and Navy, to be eligible one should have completed 12th with Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates who are pursuing 12th with Mathematics and Physics are also eligible to appply for navy and air force wings. As per age criteria, one should be in the age group of 16 1/2 to 19 years to be eligible for NDA Exam. Being a candidate of pursuing 12th science, your son can apply for upcoming NDA Exam for army wing. Here are the important dates regarding upcoming NDA Exam. -Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011 -Last date to apply for NDA Exam : 30-01-2012 -Date of NDA Exam : 15-04-2012 For detailed information, you can visit the official website of UPSC. Re: Is this possible to appear for NDA Exam while pursuing 12th Science? hello, NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year for which eligibility criteria is; -a candidate must be 12th with minimum 60% marks in PCM stream or having one subject as maths - age should be between 16.5-19 -a candidate pursuing 12th can also apply for the exam... as you son is a pursuing candidate and having science in his 12th and if he is fulfilling the age criteria then he is eligible.... good luck |

Since your son want to write the NDA exam, let him complete his +2 first. As soon as he qualifies +2 level of exam, he will be eligible to appear for the NDA exam, which is conducted by UPSC. The minimum eligible age is 16 1/2 years and the maximum age limit is 19 years. Yes. you are eligible for applying to NDA National Defense Academy NDA exams are conducted by UPSC, through which you can directly apply to the Indian navy, army, air force. IMPORTANT DATES TO BE NOTED 1) Last date to apply for NDA Exam : 30-01-2012 2) Date of NDA Exam : 15-04-2012 IF you are in the biology stream, you can apply for AFMC exams, else you can apply for NDA. |

Absolutely, your son will be eligible for upcoming National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. NDA is premier examination for the students who are willing to join Indian Defence Forces right after 10+2. To be eligible for NDA examination, the candidate must be male Indian candidate within the age limit of 16 1/2 to 19 years. Both 10+2 passout and appearing students can appear for the examination. Upcoming NDA examination will be going to conduct on April 2012 for which notification will be published in employment newspaper in the month of October. |

NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India. Eligibility for Indian Army : 1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination. 2:Marital Status:Unmarried 3:Sex :Male. 4:Age Limit : Between 16.5 and 19. 5:Nationality: You have to be A citizen of India, or subject of Bhutan, or subject of Nepal, or Tibetan refugee . Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published. The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India. Each year course start twice January and July. Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases : i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality. iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB). The written examination is of two papers of all objective type questions. i)Mathematics of 2.5 hours maximum number 300 including Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics. ii)General Ability test of 2.5 hours maximum number 600 including General English, General Knowledge,Physics,Chemistry,General Science,History,Freedom Movement,Geography,Current Event After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection. Hello Dear yes, it is possible to appear for NDA Exam while pursuing 12th Science. but you have to follow the following given below criteria >>you have to complete 12th science with PCM subjects combination before joining in NDA. >>You have to get 60% marks in class 12th exam. >>age limit is 16.5-19 years. >>your height should minimum 165cm. if you have the following criteria then you can appear for NDA Exam while pursuing 12th Science. all the best.............. |
