Dear Friend You can apply for Combined Defence Service examination during final year of graduation or after passing graduation. Presently, you are not eligible for the examination. Don't be impatient for exam. Try to prepare very well in the coming one year time so that you can qualify CDS in your first attempt. CDS stands for Combined Defence Academy CDS exam is conducted by UPSC ever year twice as CDS I and CDS II. After finishing your degree which is B.tech you can surely apply for the CDS exam as far regarding the education qualification for the CDS exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage. Candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India nd must also be a unmarried male candidate. You can get more information regarding the CDS Exam at www.upsc.gov.in |

CDS Combined defence services exam conducted by upsc. eligibilty for cds depend upon for which service means army,indian airforce and navy and type of commissioning means permament or short service.Minimum academic qualifications prescribed: (i) For IMA and OTA: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) For Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. (iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.Age Limits: For IMA 19-24 year ,For NA 19-22 years,AFA 19-23 year, For OTA 19-25 years as on 1st july .as you are in 3rd year you are not eligible.only pass or appearing in last year candidate are eligible. |

In order to appear for the Combined Defense Services exam..you need to satisfy the following conditions :- 1) You should be a graduate or a final year student of graduation.. 2) You should be within the age limit of 19-23 years Apart from this..you should be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight.. There will be a 300 marks objective paper which will test your GK and basic maths.. |

When you are will be in final year of B.tech course then you will be eligible for CDS exam. Through the CDS exam you can apply for different posts in Indian defense.. After qualifying in the exam you have to go through the SSB interview.. If you able to clear the Interview then you will get a chance to join in Indian defense. All the best. |
