It is also known as the civil services examination. To appear in the IES
exam following eligibility criteria.
You not mention then branch name
1.Educational Qualification
b.tech any one of the following branch :
Electrical Engineering.
Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Civil Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering.

2. Age Limit = The age must be between 21 to 30 years at
the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation
is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

Computer Science and Information Technology branch are
not eligible for the IES examination.

so, you cant apply

all the above comments are so confusing.rather than showing any proper way they are making me more confused.can someone tell it with surity whether BE(biotech.) are allowed or not????

no btech biotech students cannot apply for the IES exam

IES i.e Indian Engineering Services Exam conducted by upsc government Every year.

Site fOR visit/Notifications:- www.upsc.gov.in

A guy which is having any field but should have done with Graduation can apply for the IES exam.

And yes friend, you are definitely Eligible for IES.

yes, why not.
you are absolutely eligible for IES.
the criteria is:

graduate in engineering from any recognized university.

age limit is between 21 years and 30 years on the 1st august of the year of examination.

for IES B.tech from biotech are not eligible.
the eligible four stream for IES examination are

* Civil Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

IES is conducted by UPSC. for more information on IES examination visit the website http://www.upsc.gov.in


you have to try for other examination. you are not eligible for this.

Yes u just have to take u r optional subject and only english and gk are papers in preliminary exam.
