Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

>> The following steps will help you to optimize your Memory Power so that you can remember what you studied previously :~

• Write the topics that you have studied in the cue card.
It is really vital that you write rather than type, as the writing sparks the mind/body memory connection that typing and printing does not replicate as well.
It also takes longer and therefore gives adequate time for the information to sink in and stick.

• Try to memorize as much as you can.
Use memorization techniques.

• Try to focus using a question/answer process.
Ask yourself questions about the material that you have just studied at the end of the study.
Write each answer on a piece of paper, do this a few times if some facts are particularly elusive.

• Review in Writing.
The next morning before the exam/test, write out the information a few more times.

• Do your Best.
If you have slept well, followed this process and keep stress-free, you should do well. This improves with practice.

• Do not over study unless necessary and stay focused and on topic while studying.
People tend to over study and forget material reviewed before.
Many people are distracted and memorization is made difficult by this.

• It has been known that your mind also remembers what you study easier when you are in the same position that you do your exam in.
For example, if you are going to be tested seated at a desk, be seated at a desk during study.

>> TIPS :~

• Study exactly 30 minutes before sleeping. People remember things well right before they fall asleep.

• Get at least 8 hours of sleep.

• Do not try to fit everything in your brain before the test. That causes stressing. Study slowly & peacefully. That is the best way to go. Make flash Cards.

• Do not study more than 4 hours (unless you need to). Always take regular breaks during study.

• Clear your mind. Do something you enjoy then right after, hit the books. Try running then studying and then do something that feels good.

• Do not panic when you get the test, just relax so you don't forget anything.

• Write the important points in each lesson. So in the exam time, you will get help and you will not have to search the 1000 pages textbook for every answer.

• Get good sleep. If your brain is going everywhere while you are studying, you are most likely not gonna get a good grade.

• Do not go to the exam hall early.

• If you forget any thing, do not panic; just sing a song and recollect. It helps, sometimes.

• If possible, get your friends totogether to do a group study. You can quiz each other and help each other to study the information to pass your class.

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

These are some of the basic scientific reason for forgetting things ::

We have two memory area temporary and permanent. If you keep things in temporary
memory then you will forget things after some times but keeping the same things in
permanent memory you will not forget too soon.

So the question is how will we put things in permanent memory ?

If you will write things then you can keep those things in permanent memory that the
reason why people say to write or do practice while studying because it help to keep
things remember for more time .
You can do it by performing some exercise at home for brain
Solve puzzle it help a lot to increase a mind .
Eat fruits .What you eat have a great impact on your study .

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

Hey dear,
Supposedly you are just cramming things in the hurry of completing your course or maybe you have shortage of time or you just can't understand the things you learn....
the only authentic and long lasting solution to this problem is to understand the things and learn them instead of just mugging them up to vomit the same in exams....
take time and you'll experience wonders...

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

If you learn a thing, and tend to forget it.. then I must tell you , you are no weird and you are not alone.

There are many or more than many people all across the globe, whole face this problem.

Actually our brain is functioned to work in a manner, that we teach it everyday, it learns and if we do not revise, it forgets. But that matter is still in our memory.

Main problem is that we face difficulties in RECALLING IT AT THE RIGHT TIME.

To overcome this, I can give you some tips like :

1. Study for short periods of time, and let the learnt part to settle in your system.

2. Do not mug up things. Understand them, and then learn the definition words.

3. Sleep less, just the amount of sleep which is necessary for the rest of the brain. NOT FOR YOUR LEISURE !

4. Eat at small intervals, instead of eating too much in a go. It tends to relax you, and make you lazy.

5. Do not try to recall anything in the examination. Read the question there, and think as if its being asked to you.
then frame your answer yourself with the knowledge and write it.

Hope these help.

All the best.

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

You should improve your memory power. For this, try to recollect previous day’s routine action in a systematic way. Try to do this for a month and sure you will improve your memory power. Fully concentrate on studies when you learn lessons. Don’t allow your mind to deviate in any other matters. You should select a calm and quite place for your studies.

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

Well it is one of the major problem that people generally do not remember what they
study but its a natural phenomenon you can not change it.But you can try to keep
things remember for little more time then you do now.

These are some of the basic scientific reason for forgetting things ::

We have two memory area temporary and permanent. If you keep things in temporary

Re: How should I remember what I studied previously?

For long lasting memory:
1)You should have completely whatever you have studied.
2)Revision

Nothing else is required.
Whenever you study ,keep off all distractions like mobile,Tv.
If possible try to study in isolation, group study is more a wastage of time.
Make short notes for further revision.Ask yourself question from whatever you studied.
Whenever you sit for study, make a goal to complete a particulat task before you leave, short breaks are necessary to maintain concentration level.

Give time for all activities, dont keep studying the whole day, i wont help, other activities are equally important.
