If you crack these exams you will be selected as officer. CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) examination :- UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) twice in every year conducts the common entrance exam for the entry into CDS. - UNMARRIED MALE & FEMALE eligible for CDS exam. - UNMARRIED FEMALE eligible for CDS OTA exam only. Eligibility : Educational qualification : - for Navy : B.Sc ( Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering. Age Criteria : - For Naval Academy-19 to 22 Important dates for CDS exam: CDS-I exam: Issuing of application form from 29th Oct 2011 to 28th Nov 2011. Exam will held on 12th Feb 2012. CDS-II exam: Issuing of application form from 2nd June 2012 to 2nd July 2012. Exam will held on 16th Sep 2012. short service commissioned :- Eligibility for Indian navy short service commissioned for unmarried men and women: Eligibility Conditions: Age 19.5 Years to 25 Years Educational Qualification: B.Sc student with minimum 60% marks in Physics,Mathematics & Electronics. To apply this examinations the candidate must have to complete 12th or graduation from a recognized university. National Defence Academy (NDA): Education Qualification: 12th pass from a recognized university. Age Limit: - 16.5 to 19 years. Combined Defence Service (CDA) Examination: Education Qualification: Completion of Graduation from a recognized university. Age Limit: - 19 to 23 years. University Entry Scheme (UES) Examination: Education Qualification: Completion of Graduation from a recognized university Age Limit: - 18 to 28 years.
