Re: Can student pursuing BSc physics(H) do MSc Computer science (H) ?

I want to ask one thing if I pursue B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science from Delhi University which is a three year course, so will I be able to apply for Ms in Computer Science from abroad after three years or does I need to complete one more year of education here and then I can apply for Ms ?

Also if I goes for B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics from Delhi University and completes four years of education here, will I be eligible to pursue Ms in Computer Science after studying Physics as major subject here?

Hi dear,

Your Question is not clear to me.........!

Weather you want to ask if persuing both degrees Simultaneously is possible or want to know the Eligibility.

If you are asking fro persuing the both dergees simultaneously, then its not possible, unless you will complete your B.sc Degree.

General Eligibility Criteria for M.sc (CS) which is excepted by more or less every university is as follows:-

Weather a candidate should have B.sc (CS).
OR

B.sc (general) with Mathematics and CS as one of the main subjects.
OR

BCA
OR

B.sc (Honours) in any Pure science subject but has opted for CS and MAthematics as main subjects.
OR

Any Bachelor Degree with atleast 8 papers in Computer Science and 2 papers in Mathematics (Semester System), 6 papers in Computer Science and 2 papers in Mathematics (Annual System).

NOTE: For getting into good Universities candidate must be First class PAss, means with at least 60% aggregate.

Thanks

Well, dear due to your very low percentage you wont be able to get any University through regular mode.

However, there is chance in Open Universities from where you can complete your Master dergee.

For example: -

KArnataka state Open University

The Global Open University of NAgaland.

Tamil NAdu Open University

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University

Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University

Kota Open University

Re: Can student pursuing BSc physics(H) do MSc Computer science (H) ?

I Meant after completing BSc from one university can one do MSc in other university?
For an instance I am doing BSc in Physics Honours in St.Xavier's college,Ranchi which is an autonomous body under ranchi university.I have opted Mathematics and Computer science as my subsidiary subjects.Am I able to do MSc in Computer science honours?
RU doesn't facilitate Computer Science Honours either as bachelors degree or masters degree so I will have to do MSc in Computer Science Honours from other universities like Calcutta or Delhi. I am now doing BSc Physics Honours with Mathematics and Computer Science as my subsidiary subjects.
Am I an eligible candidate?

Re: Can student pursuing BSc physics(H) do MSc Computer science (H) ?

hai
You can do so, but you should study th basic things needed for the MSC SC as you have studied BSC in physics. If you have studied bsc CS then it will be easy for you in MSc. I think you can enter into jobs that specialise in physics .

Dear friend,

Yes one can pursue M.Sc in Computer science after doing B.Sc,physics honors from another University.

In that case, the candidate has to give admission entrance test for taking M.Sc in computer science in the different university.
