Re: Can I apply for B.Ed course having secured 40% in Graduation? B.Ed means (Bachelor of Education). No,for B.Ed candidates must have a graduation degree or post graduate degree from a recognized university with minimum 50 to 55%marks. Duration - 2 years. |

To get admission in b.ed Candidate should have padded with 50% or more marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in Master’s degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto. This is the eligibility criteria most of the universities follow and if you don't have 55% in graduate then you can apply for the bed entrance exam conducted by many private universities to get admission. |

Please check the eligibility details for B.Ed admission: The candidate must have complete the graduation from a recognized university.. The candidate should have 50% aggregate in graduation with any subject, as per the new rules by NCTE. There is no age limit. Since you have scored 40% marks in graduation, you are not eligible for the admission in B.Ed. But, you may go for Diploma in Elementary Education where you should have 12th or Intermediate in any stream with 50% marks aggregate. Reference: ncte.gov.in/Website/ActandRegulation.aspx Thank you |

FOR B.ED COURSE you at least need 50% in graduation as well as in post graduation . You have other options like either you can join some private institutes or you can pursue B.ED from correspondence but for that also you need at least two years of teaching experience then you can apply for entrance exam that is held for B.ED ADMISSION COURSE . If you have two years of teaching experience then you can apply to IGNOU B.ED ENTRANCE EXAM. As you don't have the required percentage criteria i.e.,you just have 40% in graduation so You may not be eligible for the examination. which are conducted in different universities. If you want to become a government teacher with qualification as B.Ed then it is not possible you can try in private institutes and colleges as faculty but as a government teacher or the teacher post with B.Ed is not possible for you. Don't worry for that just go to the desired teaching in other ways that is through Experience. Thanks!! |

Re: Can I apply for B.Ed course having secured 40% in Graduation? For most institutes the minimum qualification required is graduation. Also they should have studied in a recognised institute. Normally institute keep a minimum cut off of 50% in the same. So you may not be eligible for the same. You need to check with the institute where you plan to study. |
